Will "The Blanket" Lee returning to Aggie football in 2025
On Instagram and X , Aggie cornerback Will Lee III had a big announcement to make in terms of his football future.
This is a big announcement for Texas A&M football and shows Lee III still has work to accomplish.
Lee III was the only bright spot in the 17-7 loss against Texas.
Lee III tracked down a pass from Quinn Ewers and intercepted a pass. Lee III proceeded to take it 94 yards for a pick six. It could've been 24-0 for the Horns, but Lee III changed the momentum. He didn't get a whole lot of help from his offense, but personally for Lee III, the play was much needed.
Lee III has had an adventerous collegiate career. He spent two years at Iowa Western Community College in 2021 and 2022. After that, he stopped in Kansas State where he had 42 total tackles and two picks. In his first year with the Ags, Lee III has 42 total tackles, 10 pass deflections, and two interceptions.
Junior Bryce Anderson coming back would do wonders for the Aggies in 2025 as that would give the Aggies an experienced defensive backfield.
The Aggies didn't know what to expect from Lee III, as he brought out his amazing personality by earning the nickname, "blanket."
He's quickly become a fan favorite among Aggie fans, so this move comes with tremendous positivity in College Station.
Aggie fans will hope to see him one last time in 2024 in whichever bowl game the Aggies are selected for.
