Texas A&M fans are anxious to see where their many draft prospects will end up in the upcoming NFL Draft, and chief among those prospects is edge rusher Cashius Howell. After getting manifold projections to land in the first round of the NFL draft following the conclusion of the regular season, his stock has dropped slightly since that point.

That mostly has to do with some less than ideal measurements that Cashius has received since then. It's the same kind of thing that held him back when he was coming out of high school, but he's no stranger to overcoming odds like that.

Despite all that, there have been some rumblings that he could end up at one of the premier NFL destinations in the Dallas Cowboys. A recent analysis has only confirmed that suspicion, as it could end up that Cashius to Dallas is all but a foregone conclusion.

Texas A&M could end up sending top draft prospect to Dallas Cowboys with perfect scheme fit

Cashius's draft stock may have dropped on some sites that put out mock drafts, but the chances of the Cowboys picking him up at 20 could be higher than many anticipate.

Brian Broaddus reports that the Cowboys may have interest in Howell with their second first-round selection, which they picked up as part of the Kenny Clark trade with the Packers. That could be a great fit for both the Cowboys and Howell, and the familiarity with new DC Christian Parker only boosts the chances that we see this union.

This would certainly bring joy to the hearts of man Aggie fans, as well as Cowboys fans. Howell seems like a perfect fit in many ways, and he could pop off in his first year if given the right situation.

The situation in Dallas seems primed for Cashius to make a leap. The Cowboys are perennial playoff contenders, and if they add another threat to rush the quarterback, it could be just what is needed to put them over the top.
