Texas A&M fans have been looking at the trip to Fayetteville with wary apprehension ever since the schedule for this season was released. Arkansas fans have been thirsting to get this game back on campus for quite some time now, given that the series at AT&T Stadium always seemed to go poorly for the Hogs with one strange bounce of the ball or another.

The fears were many for Aggie fans when it came to this game: one that has come true is the return of Bobby Petrino to the head spot in Fayetteville and this being his first home game. The beloved former coach (now the interim HC for the Hogs) will be working off of the sheer power of his vendetta against A&M to will his team to victory. The Hog fans feared him when he was in Aggieland, but now he's on their side.

However, one of the biggest fears looks like it will not, in fact, be coming to pass in this game. Texas A&M fans all breathed a sigh of relief as they just learned that the Aggies will not be facing a night kick against Arkansas.

Texas A&M avoids night kick vs. Arkansas in week eight, much to Aggie fans' relief

The announcement came down from the SEC today that Texas A&M will be facing off with Arkansas at 2:30 PM CT on the 18th.

This is a definite relief for the Aggies, who would have a lot more of a problem on their hands had they been facing a night game. Texas A&M had to navigate two road night games down the stretch of 2024, and neither of those went the Aggies' way.

Whether or not this was a night game, though, this is still a team that Texas A&M should beat pretty soundly. The Aggies are far more talented than the Hogs, and Arkansas will be coming off of a very physical game against Tennessee. There are reasons that Arky will have to come out throwing haymakers, but A&M should be able to withstand them and come out of Fayetteville with a victory.
