The Aggies should have an advantage in the trenches, but what about through the air?

Texas A&M's run game versus LSU's run defense

One positional battle left to decide Texas A&M's fate, but, fortunately for the Aggies, it's one of the greatest strengths of their team. The Aggies, running the football almost 40 times a game this season, have a top-40 rush attack in yards per game, yards per rush and total rushing touchdowns. They've also generated 13 running plays of 20-plus yards, tied for the 32nd-highest mark in college ball.

Blake Baker's defense has done a sound job at stuffing the run, holding opposing attacks to 122 yards per game and an impressive 3.63 yards per carry. While strong overall, they have struggled at containing mobile quarterbacks — allowing 157 yards and two scores to Diego Pavia and Trinidad Chambliss in recent weeks.

Marcel Reed has been a solid asset on the ground this season, but we may see that tick up a bit this weekend. Star back Le'Veon Moss still remains out with injury and, although Rueben Owens and EJ Smith picked up the slack last weekend with 121 yards, this group would be wise to lean on the legs of its starting quarterback — the same guy that ran for three scores the last time these two teams met.

Given the strength of the offensive line, the depth of the running back room and an extra set of legs at the quarterback position, I'll take Texas A&M to win this final positional matchup.

The edge goes to ... Texas A&M
