Texas A&M football has not been afraid to aim high in this recruiting cycle, and they've got some major momentum out of that strategy. The Aggies have hosted some of the nation's best recruits this spring and summer, and they're banking on relationships that have been formed long before that in order to eventually pull in some top-level commitments.
One of those big time players that the Aggies have been working on for quite some time is receiver Tristen Keys. The Mississippi native has shown a lot of interest in the Aggies over the course of his recruitment, and even after he committed to rival LSU, he's visited College Station on the down-low.
Now, though, he's being less clandestine about his intentions to take a few visits around to different schools, and Texas A&M will be a benefactor. Keys announced recently that he will be taking some official visits, and the Aggies made the short list.
Texas A&M set to receive official visit from 5-star receiver Tristen Keys
Keys, a top-5 player in the 2026 class according to the composite rankings, has been looking around ever since committing to the Tigers, and will take official visits to Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, and Texas A&M in addition to LSU.
As expected, Texas A&M is expected to host the top wide receiver prospect Tristen Keys despite him being committed to LSU.

It will no doubt be difficult for the Aggies to shake Keys from his commitment to LSU— the Tigers won't go away without a fight. But at the same time, it could be a snowball effect here: with Keys taking so many visits, it could end up shaking him from his commitment in general, and the Aggies could swoop in to be the benefactor.
This would be a major coup if the Aggies could pull it off. It hardly seems conceivable, but the Aggies could emerge from this recruiting cycle with Keys, the currently-committed Aaron Gregory, and Ethan "Boobie" Feaster as the three headliners at receiver— a group that would rival any school in the nation at the position.
We're a long way off from that manifesting, and you can bet that rival schools would do whatever they can to stop that from happening. But the fact that it's even a possibility says a lot about the job that Elko and company have done so far in the cycle.
