There's nothing quite like a rivalry game to send a fanbase into an existential crisis— something Texas A&M basketball fans and Longhorns both know well. Earlier this year, the Aggies demolished Texas in Reed Arena after a close first half, but this previous game in Austin had the reverse script.
Texas A&M basketball looked like they were completely running away with the game— they led by 18 points at the half before ending up with a 22-point lead at one point. But the fickle nature of a jump-shooting collegiate squad made things difficult down the stretch, and in a manner all too reminiscent of the Oregon and UCF games, A&M let this one slip away.
This was a huge win for the Longhorns, who have been looking up to the Aggies in basketball all year. They still remain below them in the standings at the moment, but Rodney Terry needed a huge win— and he got it with this last-second victory. Given how it happened, it will live on in Longhorn lore for quite some time, without a doubt.
Rodney Terry's postgame antics chafe against Texas A&M basketball fans; Was Texas coach hypocritical?
However despondent A&M fans were after the loss, the postgame conduct of Terry really added insult to injury. In the handshake line, the Texas coach was sticking his tongue out, yelling to the crowd, and celebrating openly.
You've earned celebration in a big win like this, of course. But the manner in which he was doing it seemed all too rich, given some of his previous comments.
Rodney Terry cried when a team did horns down to them saying they needed to win with class. Today that same coach is sticking out his tongue at A&M players as he goes through handshake line. Too funny!

Terry infamously called out UCF players for doing a horns down celebration after waxing Texas last year. Aggie fans didn't forget that fact— I guess that indignation really only runs one way after all.
