Three reasons Texas A&M dominates LSU: A&M pass rush gets home early and often
The Tigers' offensive line has been a point of concern for LSU fans all year, and with starting tackle Tyree Adams out for this game, that concern is at an all-time high. With Garrett Nussmeier not exactly being known for his quickness or elusiveness, this could lead to some huge opportunities for the Aggie pass rush.
Mike Elko is one of the best in the country at getting home with a low number of rushers, helping the defensive front out with exotic formations on the line of scrimmage. With a true freshman slated to start at offensive tackle for the Tigers, the communication among that unit will not exactly be at it's most crisp, so this could be even more effective.
That's not even to mention the fact that the Aggies boast one of the nation's best pure pass rushers in Cashius Howell, who will no doubt be facing off with that true freshman more than a couple of times tonight. Elko will have a lot of opportunities at his disposal to make some chaos up front for the Tigers, and he will take full advantage.
LSU will attempt to negate this with some quick passes, but with Taurean York patrolling the middle of the defense, that could be a recipe for disaster. LSU will sooner or later have to make something happen with traditional dropbacks, and the Aggies will be ready to inflict some pain when they do so.
