The SEC slate will look the same for each team in 2025, but the teams themselves will look way different. Who's looking up and who's trending down?

Trending up: South Carolina

For whatever Carolina lost to the draft and to the portal last year, they have the two most important spots on lock for the upcoming season: quarterback and defensive end. LaNorris Sellers has quickly become one of the biggest names in the sport thanks to his run down the stretch last year, including singlehandedly defeating Clemson on the road, and is projected as a high selection in the upcoming NFL Draft.

A guy who may get selected even higher— by which I mean first overall— is edge rusher Dylan Stewart. The former five star has been an absolute menace coming off the edge in Columbia, and already has pro scouts buzzing.

The biggest question is whether a guy like Nyck Harbor can round into form. Even though he's got insane measurables, he has yet to show polish as a receiver. If he does, that will give the Gamecocks a triumvirate of athletic freaks that can go toe-to-toe with anyone in the nation.

After last year, A&M will be happy to have this game at home. It won't be easy no matter what, of course, but better to have it in Kyle than Williams Brice.
