When will the penalties come back to sting the Aggies?
If there's one area of concern I have for the Aggies heading into this week it's that we've yet to see their penalty issue bite them in the butt, at least to the extent of deciding the outcome of a game.
Texas A&M is one of the most penalized teams in the country, ranking 122nd in penalty yards per game and 133rd in penalties per game. This is an unfortunate trend for the Mike Elko era, as last year's group finished 121st and 132nd in those same metrics.
That's not to say this will be the weekend it finally catches up to the Aggies or that it's an irreversible trend, but it's not something you want to keep leaving up to chance. Florida has done well when it comes to avoiding penalties on the road, with the 30th best mark this season, and — outside of Notre Dame — is averaging fewer penalties per game than each of Texas A&M's opponents thus far.
