Three takeaways from another double-digit road win for Texas A&M football

Here's what we learned from Texas A&M football's gutsy win on the road against Mississippi State.

This Texas A&M football team is still searching for consistency

All that said, this didn't exactly look like the Aggie team we saw against Missouri. There was some rust that needed to be knocked off after the bye week, and especially so for the signal caller, who is still getting back in the swing of things.

That's probably why things seemed so disjointed at times for the Aggies. Though there are indeed areas of marked improvement, mostly in the passing attack, it took the Ags too long to adjust to certain things.

There were some rhythm things in the game that made it hard for the rushing attack to ever get established, true. But there were some missed blocks and other things that could have been cleaned up as well.

On the other side of the ball, we saw the defense get themselves into shape after halftime. They looked much more the part in the second half as opposed to the first, only allowing one touchdown drive (of 12 yards, after a turnover) in the latter 30 minutes.

The Aggies had a very complete game against Missouri. This game was less complete—which is okay, you still got a win. But they need to learn from this as they go forward.
