Three takeaways from another double-digit road win for Texas A&M football

Here's what we learned from Texas A&M football's gutsy win on the road against Mississippi State.

Texas A&M football has to take every road game seriously

I'm sure Elko and this staff are hammering the importance of not overlooking these road contests. But things are not exactly getting easier going forward.

South Carolina just trounced OU today with an extremely intimidating defense. Auburn took Missouri down to the wire. You can't take either of those games for granted, especially considering that at least one is set to be a night game.

The Aggies have had remarkable fortune in both Columbia and Auburn in their run in the SEC, but they have to stay focused. Playing on the road has a whole different set of rhythms from playing at home, and they need to be mindful of that going forward.

All of that said, I think they will be ready. This has all the looks of a mentally tough team, and I feel sure that they will be up for the challenges that these final two SEC road games have to offer them.

They had better be—because there's a lot still within their grasp that's contingent upon them doing so.
