Aggies will have to raise their level this Saturday

Though the Aggies have a team that can compete with highly-talented squads, Florida is a different beast. The reigning national champions have found their groove after struggling early on in the year, and they are headed to College Station having lost only one of their last six.

That was to Auburn, who the Aggies beat on the Plains a few weeks back. That should give the Aggies some confidence, but make no mistake: they can by no means underestimate the Gators here. This is a bout that will be for first place in the conference, so the Ags have to stay frosty— they'll get the best shot that UF has.

The Gators have blown out Alabama by 23 and Georgia by 15. They have, however, lost to teams like TCU. They won't come into this one thinking they can coast on by, so Texas A&M has to be ready.

The positive thing here is that this game will be taking place in the friendly confines of Reed Arena. We've seen how much home court can get the Aggies going in the past, and they'll need it in great measure for this game. With the Rowdies behind them, I like the Aggies' chances even against the Gators.
