2. EDGE Cashius Howell
Yet another transfer in the top three of these rankings, Howell began to emerge as a complete monster in the last few games of 2024. His bowl performance against USC, though not enough to lift A&M to victory, was absolutely dominant— and if that's any indication of what is to come in 2025, it should be exciting for every A&M fan.
Despite the skill that A&M had up front last year, the pass rush was a little bit lacking from their defensive line. Howell being a full-time starter could remedy that issue presently; he led the MAC in sacks during his time at Bowling Green, and if he is unleashed this season, he could be in the top group in the SEC as well.
There's a long way to go until the NFL draft, of course, but Howell could really make a name for himself this year. As a returner for the position group in Aggieland that experienced the most turnover from last year, his play will be absolutely vital to A&M in this upcoming season.
