This wasn't just the year for Mike Elko's rebound season. It was the season where veterans and explosive transfers made for one of Texas A&M's most fun seasons to date.
Elko has some work to do to reorganize his offensive line. Trey Zuhn III, Ar'Maj Reed-Adams and Dametrious Crownover have all been named as offensive linemen who will likely be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. The University of North Texas players will look to follow Eric Morris to Stillwater at Oklahoma State, but there won't be room for all of them.
It's a prime opportunity to get an All-Conference player in Johnny Dickson.
UNT transfer Johnny Dickson could have a storybook ending in College Station
Dickson is an All-Conference offensive guard who should be looked at to fill the huge shoes of Reed-Adams while the Aggies look for more bodies at offensive tackle.
At 6-foot-2, 296 pounds, Dickson doesn't have the same height or weight as Reed-Adams, but he does a great job holding his block and isn't afraid to get out on screen plays to make a block. After all, he was one of the big guys in charge of a phenominal season for true freshman RB Caleb Hawkins.
Dickson already has the resume, as he just finished up arguably his best year as a college athlete, and transferring to Texas A&M could be the storybook ending for his career. It would also be an easy move to make, as someone originally from Corpus Christi.
Dickson is pure heart and muscle, and getting him would be at least the band-aid Texas A&M needs to get their OL rolling again.
