It didn't take long for former Texas A&M star De'Von Achane to reach NFL stardom. His speed alone has rised him to become one of the most electrifying players in the league. After helping putting up 70 points against the Denver Broncos, fantasy football users were eagar to get Achane on their roster.
Achane is an all-purpose weapon, and has helped Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa become one of the most exciting offense in the league, but questions have risen over the past few years if they get over their hump in January. Hill seems to have a way to help Miami get over the hump.
Hill has a message to his coaching staff to keep Achane off the field on third-and-shorts. He argues that Achane as a speedster shouldn't be out there but especially to run the ball, citing he's not the power back archetype like his other peers.
Tyreek Hill is skeptical of De'Von Achane's ability on third-and-short
Tyreek Hill was outspoken today on one thing Mike McDaniel needs to do to improve the Dolphins’ efficiency in short-yardage situations.

He said stop sending De’Von Achane out there on third-and-short. https://t.co/Q2JJu7LFDo pic.twitter.com/4n78DErWHP
Hill gave his extremely honest opinion on why Achane shouldn't be out there. He wasn't necessarily taking a shot at his teammate, but more so his own coaching staff for how they can win ball games.
'If it's third-and-short, he's not a power back...If I'm going to be honest, like, that's you got Jaylen Wright, that's why you got Ollie Gordon."
This was a bit awkward at first, as it seemed like Tyreek Hill was calling out Achane. For his part, though, the former running back for Texas A&M football seemed to take it in stride on X.

Even though he's listed as RB4 on the depth chart, rookie running back Ollie Gordon from Oklahoma State would probably be the best bet to keep the football on third-and-short situations. The Dolphins can also rely on veteran Alexander Mattison, but Gordon has the best body for it.
Achane should be used as an every down weapon if needed. After all, he can do everything out there, but situational football is just as important. Hill's idea here may be correct, or it may be not. One thing is for sure, though: the Dolphins just have to be able to use the former Aggie in the correct way.
