The ride these past few years to watch Wade Taylor grow into one of the best players in Texas A&M basketball history has been an enjoyable if wild one. Taylor's electrifying offensive style can frustrate Aggie fans at times, but when he's on, there are few, if any, in the country who are better on offense.
His penchant for big shots and tough makes has led to some exhilarating moments for Aggie fans. And, as he piled up the points, it became clearer and clearer that he would have a great chance to eventually become the all-time leader in scoring for the Aggies.
Some thought that moment may come against Auburn in the previous game, but there was really no need for Wade to put the team on his back in that one— everyone was cooking for the Ags last Tuesday.
Wade Taylor breaks career scoring record for Texas A&M basketball with insane shot
No, that moment came today in the first half against LSU— and it came in classic Wade Taylor style. Four, as he is affectionally called by Buzz Williams, scooped the ball off the floor near the sideline and hit a long-distance three to put the Aggies up 8 points early on.
Got it done quick here in Baton Rouge! 👏

This really does showcase what has made Wade so great here in College Station. His ability to improvise, make tough shots, and spark an Aggie offense that sometimes looks stagnant has made him an indispensable piece of this era of A&M basketball.
In this era of college basketball, too, this could be a record that stands for quite some time. It's rare to have a guy that sticks around as long as Wade has who has the offensive ability that he does. Taylor's name could be atop the record books for quite some time for the Aggies. Congrats, Wade!
