War of words erupting between players from Texas A&M football and LSU ahead of game

This is shaping up to be a pretty chippy game between Texas A&M football and LSU, judging from the leadup.

Texas A&M football and LSU players take shots at each other on X heading into Saturday's decisive matchup

One of the best parts of this Texas A&M football team, and certainly one of the most improved, is the offensive line. After years of a subpar product along the offensive front, Mike Elko has buttressed the unit with what has seemed to be an elite hire in Adam Cushing, along with several key portal pickups.

Perhaps the most important of those portal pickups is former Kansas OL Ar'maj Reed-Adams. Big no. 55 has been a terror at guard for the Aggies this year, and has regularly been dominant on the fieldโ€”not to mention his leadership off the field.

His competitive edge has set a tone for the unit and team, and for that alone he's been valuable. But his stellar play has been a welcome addition to this team as well.

Another top player for the Aggie OL has been Trey Zuhn at left tackle. His numbers have been impressive, which Pro Football Focus recognized earlier this week.

This caught the eye of more than just Aggie fans, however. LSU pass rusher Bradyn Swinson tweeted a mocking image upon seeing this post, clearly connoting that he doesn't actually take this challenge that seriously.

Reed-Adams took notice of this, and issued a simple, if firm, statement.

Swinson barked back, but Reed-Adams is not one to back down.

Two quick things: 1) Swinson either has some misplaced bravado, calling Kyle "my field," or he does not know where the game is being played, and 2) he certainly is unfamiliar with Reed-Adams if he believes this is a man who won't be letting him hear it the entire game.

All of this is prime popcorn material headed into Saturday's matchup. I, for one, can't wait to see how this unfolds.
