What Mike Elko said about Bisontis injury, Weigman's performance after MSU win
Mike Elko postgame presser after Texas A&M football takes care of businesss: Chase Bisontis injury, Weigman's performance, and more
Texas A&M football just won only their third game in Starkville since joining the SEC. If history is any judge, that means big things are coming for these Aggies.
It wasn't an easy win, and fans had their hearts in their throats at more than one point. Even so, it ended up as a double-digit road winβthe second such win for the Aggies this season after more than two years straight of road losses.
After the win, Mike Elko spoke to the press. There was no video available from Texas A&M Athletics, so the quotes have been chiefly disseminated through reporters on X.
Elko keeps mum on Bisontis injury
One of the most key members of the Aggie OL went down early in the game and did not return. I imagine there's more testing that needs to be done before a firm answer can be given, but I know Aggie fans will be white-knuckling this one until we get another update. Bisontis has had a great year so far, so losing him would be significant.
Elko downplays Weigman's turnovers
The Aggie signal caller tossed two the wrong way after looking nearly impeccable against Missouri. This is still, technically speaking, a game pretty early on in Weigman's college careerβonly his eleventh start, so it stands to reason he's still getting used to showing some consistency.
Elko praises Texas A&M football's linebacker play
The Aggie LBs had a big day, especially Scooby. This style of offense stresses the middle of the defense with a lot of crossers and outside runs, and the linebackers, while not perfect, had a big day.
