SEC Media Days is finally upon us— the last big landmark before fall football really gets underway— and the Aggies will be a presence as always. This year, the event is taking place in Atlanta rather than Hoover or Dallas, which is a change from previous years and signals the shifting nature of the conference.
Mike Elko will give a short address in his allotted time, as Aggie coaches do every year, and then take questions from the press who have assembled in Atlanta. Beforehand, the Aggie players will be making the rounds to answer some questions themselves, so we'll get to hear from them as well.
With several members of the A&M media there in Atlanta, we're already seeing some quotes roll out from opposing players and coaches about the Aggies. LSU and South Carolina have both made some comments about the Ags already in their availability today. But when will Texas A&M players and coaches get a chance to sound off?
2025 SEC Media Days schedule: When will Texas A&M players and Mike Elko be speaking?
Texas A&M is currently slated to close out SEC Media Days on Thursday afternoon. Mike Elko will be the last coach to take the podium, starting at 2:45 PM local (1:45 PM CT) on Thursday, giving the Aggies the last word of the week. You can catch the Aggie coach live on SEC Network or ESPN+ when the time comes.
That's a plus and a minus. There are some media members who will likely be on their way before that point, so there may not be a full complement on hand to ask questions. However, that could be a plus as well, depending on who may be looking to get some bulletin board material or spicy quotes out of the players or Mike Elko.
As a reminder, the Aggies are bringing CB Will Lee, LB Taurean York, and OL Ar'Maj Reed-Adams to Atlanta as their player representatives. No doubt with the confidence that all three guys bring, they'll have some interesting things to say in their allotted time.
