Lots of questions arose in Aggieland this week.

There is now a question on who will start at the quarterback position after a phenomenal performance by Marcel Reed in the second half against LSU.

There's a strong case for both players, but I will give my prediction as to who will start and why.

Prediction: Conner Weigman will start for the Aggies

Obviously, this is not overlooking the effort by Reed against LSU.

He changed the momentum of the game, and ultimately the outcome.

The Texas A&M coaches are going to use this game to set a fire under Conner Weigman, and with it, he'll have Reed breathing down his neck.

The offense can run itself with efficient running from Le'Veon Moss and tough blocking from the offensive line.

South Carolina has been decent at stopping the run against top tier SEC teams. The Gamecocks gave up 133 rushing yards against LSU, 104 rushing yards against Alabama and 53 rushing yards against Oklahoma.

The Gamecocks could be keying in on Reed’s running ability, which might force more throws, which would force Weigman to use more of his throwing ability.

Reed has throwing ability, no doubt. This is a chance for Weigman to redeem himself against South Carolina, which will be a tough environment at night.

The Aggies also don't want to play with fire. If Weigman shows that he's not playing up to par, Reed will get his number called, and you can bet the coaching staff won't be as hesitant as they were last week.
