Pitching

Wednesday

Freshman Kyle Richardson made his first career start in an Aggie uniform on Wednesday night. His stat line was filled with 3’s on the night- 3 innings pitched, 3 runs all earned, 3 hits, 3 walks, and 3 strikeouts.

He was relieved by Corbin Martin, fresh off giving up the game winning walk-off grand slam to Baylor on Sunday. This outing was better than Sunday’s and that is likely an understatement. Martin pitched 4 total innings, only giving up one hit along with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.

Kaylor Chafin was the third reliever out of the pen for the Aggies, his first outing since his 6.1 inning relief appearance in extra innings against TCU. Chafin has so far been a reliable piece of the bullpen. He gave up one hit and walked one in his one inning of relief.

Landon Miner took the mound for the last inning of work, surrendering 2 hits and 1 run. The run came off of a solo shot to left field. Miner, like Chafin, has so far been a reliable bullpen piece and will likely continue to see game-time going forward.
