After a successful scrimmage at Friday Night Lights, the Texas A&M football team returns to Kyle Field for their annual Maroon and White Game on Saturday.

LIVE FEED: Texas A&M Spring Game

The Aggies had to forgo the Spring Game during the years of the Kyle Field renovation. With their new pristine stadium, Aggie fans will have one more chance to see their team before the season opener against UCLA in the Rose Bowl. That game is now being played on a Sunday, in case you hadn’t heard.

In year past, the Maroon and White game has pitted the offense against the defense. The scoring was a bit unconventional:

"“the offense scoring points in a normal fashion and the defense scoring via a point system that gave one point for a 3-and-out, two points for a sack, three points for a missed field goal or turnover, 3 points for a fourth-down stop and six points for a fourth-down stop.”"

This year, for the first time in Kevin Sumlin’s tenure at Texas A&M, the Spring Game will be played like a traditional contest. As reported by TexAgs’s Gabe Bock, each squad will be drafted by their respective team captains: Christian Kirk and  Armani Watts.
