3. Whose seat is hotter, Bret Bielema or Butch Jones?

Neither Arkansas nor Tennessee have lived up to expectations this season. While Tennessee’s loss to Alabama wasn’t at all unexpected, Arkansas losing so badly to Auburn was. Fayetteville isn’t an easy place to play regardless of how good or bad the Razorbacks are.

Butch Jones of Tennessee has taken the most heat this season for his team’s underperformance, and rightly so. The Volunteers have had high expectations the last few seasons and have failed to come anywhere near them.

The Volunteers went over 150 minutes this season without scoring a touchdown, got shut out by Georgia, and took two overtimes to beat Georgia Tech. They sit at 3-4 this season, and all four losses are to conference teams.

The Arkansas Razorbacks are dead last in the SEC West this season, and that’s saying something when you consider everything that Ole Miss is going through.

Like the Volunteers, the Razorbacks are winless in conference play. They actually have one less win than the Volunteers though, and outside of a tough overtime loss to Texas A&M, the Razorbacks have struggled in every game just as much as the Volunteers have.

Bret Bielema hasn’t been under as much fire as Jones has this season, but it’s hard to imagine that either coach will be back on the sidelines in 2018 if the ship isn’t righted soon.
