Texas A&M football is at the midway point of the 2017 season. What are the most likely postseason destinations for the Aggies this year?

We are now past the midway point. The entire football landscape is ready come Halloween night to see where the College Football Playoff selection committee has their team ranked.

For the Aggies, the bowl projections in the off-season had them ranging from no bowl game to Memphis, Nashville or Charlotte. I could not imagine what College Station would be like if a bowl game did not happen at all. If that we the case there would certainly be a coaching search.

As we sit in late October, the possibilities for the 10 SEC bowl tie-ins are all in play. Most of Aggieland would not have though that was possible after the collapse against UCLA. Thank goodness that was game one and Kevin Sumlin and his staff plenty of time to figure everything out.

I would say they have and after handing out the mid-season grades and discussing what we’ve learned about the 2017 Aggies. Now let’s now turn our attention to what bowl game is in their future. Currently, the Aggies are one of 21 teams that need just one more win to become bowl eligible. I believe that win will come this week against Mississippi State.

Which of the SEC bowl slots could are the Aggies in the running for? Finally, which bowl will they most likely find themselves in this winter?
