Rushing S&P+

Rushing S&P+ is an overall grade of how teams “Run The Dang Ball”. Fairly straightforward.  Teams with good Rushing S&P+ numbers are Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, and Louisville. These are the type of teams that can stay ahead of the chains. With a returning 1000 yard rusher and a freshman quarterback, Texas A&M should be trying to run the ball and make it a focus. Being good here will be very helpful.

The Aggies are aggressively average at running the ball. They score a 99.6, ranking them 71st in the country at rushing. This does account for opponent, so playing Florida, Mississippi State, Alabama, and South Carolina and having low numbers doesn’t hurt. Around us at 71st are the other Aggies of Utah State at 73rd, Texas at 74th, Northwestern at 75th, and Colorado at 70th. Not great.

West Virginia and Coach Spavital are 17th in the country with a score of 123.8. That’s pretty good.
