2. Texas A&M adds one more defensive commit

There are a couple of possibilities here, but the Aggies are going to add at least one defended to their current 2018 class before the month is through.

The likeliest to jump on board is Oak Ridge defensive end Joseph Ossai. Texas A&M has been courting Ossai for months now. He’s been torn between Texas A&M and Texas, but momentum has turned in the Aggies’ favor since Jimbo Fisher showed up in College Station.

Option two is Orange Park (FL) linebacker Ryan Smeda. Smeda looks to be Fisher’s first offer, at least he was the first person to mention he’s been offered since Fisher was officially appointed on Dec. 4. Smeda is currently committed to Wake Forest, Texas A&M’s bowl opponent, but if Fisher is as masterful a recruiter as he has been portrayed getting someone he wants in a matter of a few short weeks should absolutely be more than possible.

And then there’s California-based corner back Isaac Taylor-Stuart. The 6-foot-2, 5-star never gave Texas A&M much consideration but has reentered the picture since Fisher arrived on the scene. The Aggies are playing from behind on this one, but the new coach has garnered them at least one more chance to restart Taylor-Stuart’s recruitment.

If there were odds set on which would be committing in December I’d say 40 percent chance that Ossai commits, 30 percent chance that Smeda commits and a 5 percent change that Taylor-Stuart commits.
