When the Aggies officially hired Jimbo Fisher a lot of people said he took the job to run away from Clemson. Well, surprise – Clemson is on Texas A&M’s schedule for the next two seasons, so it’ll be at least 2020 before Fisher avoids them.

And who knows? If things go the way many people seem to expect the two schools may meet in the 2020 College Football Playoff.

The first month of 2018 is brutal for the Aggies. They get Clemson and Alabama in those first four weeks, and walking away with at least a 1-1 record will be crucial to the Aggies finishing with at least an 8-4 record.

Texas A&M spent $75 million to get Fisher  away from Florida State, and the expectations require a 9-3 or 10-2 season year in and year out.
