Jimbo Fisher entered the 2018 recruiting race playing from the behind. When he took helm of the Aggies’ class he was in the midst of transition from Florida State to Texas A&M. He didn’t waste any time before getting on the recruiting trail. The 2018 cycle is coming to and end. All that’s left to do is wait for National Signing Day and the resolution of the 2018 class.

Texas A&M signed 10 players during the inaugural Early Signing Period, including tight end Jace Sternberger, the first player to commit to the Aggies under Fisher. The Aggies expect to sign four additional commits on National Signing Day – wide receiver Jalen Preston, safety Brian Johnson, running back Deneric Price and defensive end Tyree Wilson.

National Signing Day tracker

7:38 p.m. – Jimbo Fisher becomes the first head coach in college football history to flip two blue chip recruits from a 6-time national championship winning coach. Nick Saban had better watch out.

5:49 p.m. – Texas A&M picks up commit No. 22 with the addition of the 3-star running back from Florida, not the former head coach in Austin.

4:02 p.m. – The only other receiver target is also off the board. Geordon Porter opts for ASU.

3:50 p.m. – Jaylen Waddle becomes the first loss in head-to-head battles with Alabama on National Signing Day. The Aggies have won two others (Brown, Beal)

2:48 p.m. – Texas A&M just keeps racking up blue chip recruits. The next man to sign is running back Jashaun Corbin.

1:14 p.m. – The Aggies got their second tight end.

12:21 a.m. – Texas A&M picks up another big pass rusher in Jeremiah Martin from California.

11:36 a.m. – With Foster in the fold, Brock Purdy picks Iowa State.

10:52 a.m. – Late target Javante Jean-Baptiste picks Ohio State over Texas A&M, Nebraska. Could the Aggies take no linebackers in this class? It’s possible.

10:45 a.m. – Aggies pull off another signing day surprise by landing their first quarterback of the 2018 class,

10:38 a.m. – Leon O’Neal makes it official.

9:49 a.m. – LOI is in for Brian Johnson. Aggies’ Last remaining unsigned commit is Leon O’Neal.

9:46 a.m. – LOI is in for the second of three Manvel commits

9:27 a.m. – This is fun. Tank Jenkins picks the Aggies. Foster to announce within the hour.

8:12 a.m. – This one could be huge. A Foster commitment could land the Aggies Tank Jenkins too.

7:51 a.m. – FLIPPED! Arlington Lamar defensive end Bobby Brown has flipped from Alabama to Texas A&M

7:43 a.m. – The first of the Manvel trio is in.

7:19 a.m. – The first LOI is in. Welcome to College Station Tyree Wilson

7:14 a.m. – Bobby Brown had delayed his signing plans. So has Javontae John-Baptiste

Tuesday – 6:45 p.m: Final predictions are out. The first Texas A&M target to announce his commitment tomorrow is Javontae Jean-Baptiste
