3. The Friars are battle tested

Finishing third in the Big East conference, the Friars faced some of the top competition in the nation this year including two of the top seeds in the 2018 NCAA Tournament in Xavier and Villanova. Providence faced both teams three times a piece, claiming two victories over Xavier and one over Villanova.

Villanova is among the favorites to win the 2018 National Championship. In the Big East Tournament final, the Friars nearly knocked off Villanova in overtime. This team has faced some of the best teams in the county in arguably the toughest conference throughout the 2018 season. Do not expect the competition of March to phase this Providence basketball team.

The last time Texas A&M made the Big Dance they opened against Green Bay. Providence is a different kind of basketball team. That Aggies are going to have to come prepared to grind it out against a tough, experience collection of players that have already played plenty of big games.
