RHP. Texas A&M. 👍. 14. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Kyle Martin

Kyle Martin stayed in Aggieland for all four years of his eligibility and came in as a clutch reliever for the Aggies. Over his 160 innings he pitched in college, Martin tallied 141 Ks and only gave up eight home runs. His senior year, he was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the ninth round of the 2013 Amateur Entry Draft.

For five years he worked his craft and kept to the grindstone in the Boston’s farm organizations. Through those five years, he posted a decent ERA of 3.59. In 2017, his number was called to come play with the big dogs at the Green Monster. He only showed up in two games but has done enough to earn a spot back on the roster for 2018. I’m sure he’ll get more playing time this year.

The Red Sox have their eyes set on a return to the postseason. If they’re going to make a run they’ll need a bullpen, and that gives guys like Martin a chance to make a significant impact this season.
