4. Running backs

This group is spearheaded by lightning fast back Trayveon Williams, who has a chance to really explode as the feature back in Jimbo Fisher’s offense. Fisher has a history of preparing backs to be successful in the NFL —like  Dalvin Cook, Devonta Freeman, Karlos Williams and Chris Thompson all have been. Williams could be next in line with a switch from the spread offense to a more pro style.

Expect the Aggies to go back to using a fullback and being physical at the point of attack. There should be plenty of lanes for Williams to run through with all five 2017 Week 1 offensive line starters coming back and some high level recruits breathing competition down their necks.

Kendall Bussey will be there to spell Williams. Bussey averaged an impressive 5.1 yards per carry in 2017 — best on the team among those with significant attempts.

Ideally these two will be on different teams so you can see what each is capable of in the new offense. Williams is almost guaranteed to be the main guy, but Bussey might have something to say about that.
