4. New England Patriots

Here is that Super Bowl contender that was promised to be a great fit. Bill Belichick and his New England Patriots are another team doing their homework on Kirk. Of the four teams on this list, I can’t think of a better fit for him for a variety of reasons.

First and foremost, Kirk seems to be exactly the type of receiver Tom Brady favors. From Wes Welker, to Julian Edelman, to Danny Amendola, the smaller receiver that can find holes in zones, exploit inside match ups and move the chains has thrived in the Patriot offense.

Kirk worked almost exclusively in the slot in his time in Kevin Sumlin’s offense and they did whatever they could to exploit matchups by moving him around and getting creative. Josh McDaniels would know exactly how to utilize Kirk’s skill set and you won’t find a better quarterback than Brady to get him the ball.

The Patriots also lost Amendola to the Miami Dolphins. Although they get Edelman back from injury, he’s turning 32 in May and coming off an ACL tear. Kirk would look good opposite Edelman and could take over should he prove unreliable.
