I know Arkansas has a pretty rough record and Vanderbilt has played a few opponents tough this year, but this feels like a close matchup and the line definitely reflects that. I could see it going either way, but Arkansas has gotten better believe it or not and their defense has been good all season. Arkansas wins with a late field goal.

Chad Morris and the Razorbacks defend their home turf. Vandy finishes October 0-4.

This is a tough game to pick. Generally, I would pick the home team in a battle between two of the lower tier SEC teams. But considering that Vanderbilt almost beat Notre Dame on the road, I think they beat an Arkansas team that is destined for a losing record.

This is Chad Morris’ first year as the head coach at Arkansas, and his team has struggled so far this season. They come into this game with a record of 2-6 with wins over Tulsa and Eastern Illinois. They have no conference wins so far this season, and I don’t expect that to change this week against Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt’s defense has been playing well, and their offense has enough juice to put some points on Arkansas. In order for Arkansas to win this one, they would need to be more disciplined and make less sloppy mistakes on the field. I don’t believe that Arkansas has figured things out yet, and so I think they’ll lose to Vanderbilt in a close game.
Vanderbilt 24, Arkansas 20 (Vanderbilt, Under)
