Texas A&M Football blowout recipient No. 3: Kent State Golden Flashes

The Kent State Golden Flashes are a large part of the reason why the Texas A&M Football team is thought of as having an extremely easy schedule. Bleacher Report famously referred to their schedule as a “cream puff buffet.”

Even so, the Kent State Golden Flashes shouldn’t be overlooked. This is a team that, despite a small sample size, had the best offense in college football by a few metrics, including total offense and scoring offense.

That said, they did all of this within the MAC, which is on the opposite end of the college football spectrum as the SEC. Expect their steaming hot offense to come to a quick halt against a Texas A&M Football team that returns a lot of strong talent on defense.

This could even be considered a trap game, as the Aggies don’t have their own offense figured out. If they can’t keep up, things could go awry. But they shouldn’t.

Kent State also had one of the worst defenses in college football, allowing 38 points per game last season. Don’t expect that to be any different in 2021.

This will be a huge game for the Aggies’ new starter, who will be getting his first starting experience under center against a bad defense. Expect Jimbo Fisher to run up the score in the first game of his dream season.
