Underrated Texas A&M Football Player No. 3: S Keldrick Carper

As of right now, Keldrick Carper isn’t necessarily a starter for the Texas A&M Football team. He may be one of the more experienced players on the team, but as a former 3-star recruit, Carper has gone under the radar for the bulk of his career in College Station.

In 2021, that could change.

During the offseason, Carper hasn’t gone without praise. In fact, a former Texas A&M Football player who is now in the NFL referred to the safety as the most underrated player on the team this year. Here’s the full quote.

"“Keldrick Carper, safety is easily the most underrated player on the A&M squad. He’s long, rangy, and super explosive. Most importantly, he’s got an insanely high IQ. He’s pretty much a coach on the field.”"

I’m inclined to agree with Anthony Hines III, who gave out the quote when asked who his most underrated teammate was.

Even if Carper doesn’t necessarily play as much as he’s expecting, he’s the type of player who will have an impact on and off the field for the team. He’s a huge leader for the Aggies, and his hard work paid off last year in the form of an interception, pass deflection, and two tackles for loss.

Carper may not get the recognition he deserves, but he’s one of the most important players on this Texas A&M Football team.
