Texas A&M Football Player No. 2: DL Jayden Peevy/Micheal Clemons

I’m letting these two players split this slide because both were involved in the Aggies’ biggest play of the game. In a contest where A&M did not score an offensive touchdown, Jayden Peevy and Micheal Clemons combined to give this team a source of scoring.

That source of scoring began in the fourth quarter with Texas A&M winning 9-3. Bo Nix would drop back for a pass and start to scramble before being met with a 6’6″, 315-pound defensive lineman in Peevy.

Peevy would sack Nix, stripping the ball from the Auburn quarterback in the process. The loose ball would be picked up by Micheal Clemons, who had a clear path to the endzone. Clemons scored on the play, which put his team up by 14 points following a two-point conversion by Zach Calzada and Ainias Smith.

Outside of this play, Clemons and Peevy combined for just six tackles, but sometimes a single play makes a huge difference. That was the case against Auburn, as the two Aggies got together to put this game away.
