The Texas A&M football team has been shooting up 247Sports’ composite recruiting rankings in the past few weeks with a pair of big commitments. Those commitments came from 5-star top-overall defensive prospect Walter Nolen and the best receiver in the class in Evan Stewart.

The class could be the best in Aggie football history and to most, it seems like things could not get better on the recruiting trail. But they can.

Jimbo Fisher has already hinted at the possibility that Texas A&M could finish with the top overall class in college football and A&M has a handful of the nation’s best prospects leaning toward Aggieland. Here are three 2022 five-star prospects who could commit to play football in Aggieland.

No. 1 Texas A&M Football Target: CB Denver Harris

Texas A&M is definitely near the top of Denver Harris’s list, but when it comes to players listed in this article, this one will be the biggest reach for Jimbo Fisher and his staff. As things stand. there are three crystal ball’s predicting Harris’s destination — two are for Alabama and one is for Texas.

That said, Harris is still a big target for a Texas A&M football team that only has a single cornerback commitment.

Harris is a perfectly-sized corner at 6’1″. He’s the 13th-ranked overall prospect in 247Sports’ 2022 class and would be the perfect addition to Texas A&M’s roster. With a five-star already in the secondary in Jaylon Jones, A&M could have the best secondary in the country.

As things stand, Harris has Texas A&M in his top-four alongside ‘Bama, LSU, and Texas.
