Texas A&M Football Impact Player No. 2: DL Walter Nolen

I might just be getting excited about recruiting, but this article will showcase three players that are newcomers to the Texas A&M football team.

The first, and perhaps most college-ready, is Walter Nolen. Nolen is the top-ranked recruit in the 2022 class that isn’t committed to Jackson State. Coming in at No. 2 overall, Nolen is 6’4″ and 325 pounds and won’t look out of place at all as a true freshman.

With DeMarvin Leal gone, there should be an early opportunity for Nolen to receive significant snaps. As a young player, he may have some kinks to work out but should be someone that opposing teams have to focus on each play. He’ll make a huge difference on this already-elite defensive line.

Texas A&M Football Impact Player No. 3: LB Harold Perkins

Speaking of college-ready players, Harold Perkins is as college-ready as they come. The Aggie hard commit is as athletic as they come and with the departure of Aaron Hansford from this team’s linebacking corps, Perkins should be able to fill in immediately.

The top-five-overall prospect in the 2022 class is also a true runningback prospect — his athleticism will be the first thing to jump out to you when watching him play in an Aggie uniform.

Perkins is one of a few freshmen who will be an immediate impact player on this team. It’s important to note that Perkins has not signed with A&M yet.
