The Texas A&M basketball team is currently halfway toward making a mockery of the NCAA Tournament selection committee. That’s right — the same committee that left the Aggies out of the NCAA Tournament for reasons still unknown.

Largely, one of these reasons could be Strength of Schedule, which is an area where the SEC lacked in comparison to some other conferences. To an extent, the committee may have been onto something, as only two of six Southeastern Conference teams remain in the NCAA Tournament.

That said, the Texas A&M basketball team is still going strong in the NIT Tournament. And despite not having an opportunity at winning an NCAA Championship, the Aggies are still on board with winning at the highest level that they can.

The Aggies were not given a shot at the NCAA Tournament and they won’t be letting anybody forget it anytime soon. Specifically, Aggie forward Henry Coleman won’t let anybody forget about Texas A&M basketball, as he’s been very active on Twitter. Here’s an example of Coleman praising the 12th man for showing up to the Aggies’ first-round game of the NIT Tournament.

Coleman has been huge for the Texas A&M basketball team this year, averaging 11.1 points per game — second to Quenton Jackson’s 14.5. He’s been an enforcer for the squad, sitting at second in minutes per game and leading the squad in rebounds.

Perhaps most of all, however, his presence on the court and bench has been huge for a squad that has needed all of the momentum they can find. Here’s the Aggie forward celebrating on the bench during an NIT game.

Coleman has repeatedly shown support toward his head coach, Buzz Williams, on Twitter. Williams has been outspoken toward his team and earned the respect of the entire country after his eight-minute rant about his disappointment in the NCAA Tournament committee.

Fortunately, the NIT Tournament may have given the Aggies an opportunity to do something that they couldn’t have before — helped Williams earn his 300th win. Henry Coleman, as usual, was extremely supportive of his coach’s accomplishment after the Aggies took down Oregon in the NIT Tournament.

This team may not have a shot at a national title, but it’s hard to imagine that there’s a more likeable in the country.
