2. DT Walter Nolen

The #2 overall recruit in 2022 lands here at number two. Walter Nolen is not only ready to contribute at the collegiate level, but he is in line to compete for the starting job.

According to OurLads.com, the only one in front of Nolen on the depth chart is sophomore Shemar Turner. Nolen could handle himself at nose tackle as well, but DT would be his best chance at starting.

The Aggies’ top recruit has a violent motor and that could be the attitude this line needs to help replace the losses of some top defensive line contributors. He has the length, strength, and hand skill to bully interior offensive linemen and get into the backfield in a hurry.

I personally expect Nolen to take the starting spot out of camp. I know a lot of people don’t like freshmen starting right away, especially in the SEC, but Nolen was the number two prospect in the country for a reason. He can handle the load, and even thrive in the toughest conference in the nation.
