Home. 3. (#16) Miami Hurricanes. player. 834. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Sep. 17

You could say that the Miami game is the first “real” test for the Aggies in 2022. They are a very interesting team that could have a large range of outcomes for a couple reasons.

One reason is that they have a new head coach, Mario Cristobal, and offensive coordinator, Josh Gattis. This could force the Hurricanes to start out slow as the players adjust playing under new leadership, and we will hope that’s the case here.

Another reason is their quarterback Tyler Van Dyke. Van Dyke has a lot of hype around him and everyone is expecting him to breakout this season. Without many proven players around him in skill positions, and a new offensive coordinator and a new scheme, he could take time to adjust.

Due to those reasons, I expect the Aggies to cruise past the Hurricanes and improve to 3-0 on the season. I think Haynes King will really start hitting his stride and will have a big game at Kyle Field and rise to the occasion.

Prediction: #16 Miami 21, #6 Texas A&M 34

Sep. 24. 4. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. AT&T Stadium. #19 Arkansas Razorbacks. 844

Arkansas finally got a win against the Aggies in 2021, and nobody on social media is letting Texas A&M fans forget it. Before last season, the Aggies had won nine straight games against the Razorbacks, the longest win streak of the rivalry.

K.J Jefferson is the star on offense, and he really is the motor of the vehicle. The offense runs on him, leading the team in passing and rushing yards last season. The defense leaves some to be desired. Without a good pass rush, they could depend on their secondary a lot this season, which isn’t bad, but not great.

The Aggies’ offense should win this game. The defense should do enough and I expect the pass rushers to hit their stride at this point. I expect Achane to have a huge game here and really help lead the Aggies to a tough win and to a 4-0 start.

Prediction: #19 Arkansas 27, #6 Texas A&M 34
