Texas A&M football takes on the Appalachian State Mountaineers on Saturday. After coming off of an uncomfortable win against Sam Houston State, the Aggies look to win in a more convincing fashion and get their team ready for a big Week 3 matchup against Miami.

With a more offensively suitable opponent in Week 2, we will see the defense be put to the test. Using FanDuel Sportsbook’s current bets and odds, here are some of the best bets you may want to consider taking for the Week 2 matchup.

Best Texas A&M football bets for Week 2

Over 1Q 10.5 (-110)

For the first bet, this is one of the most likely bets I found with decent odds. With two potent offenses, and one not-so-great defense, this is bound to hit over 10 points in the first quarter. Now that both offenses have shaken any rust off, they should be ready to go after opposing defenses.

With both teams stressing the home run ball, points will be scored in bunches, and quickly. Even if the A&M defense is for real, the offense, led by Haynes King, is more than capable of scoring two touchdowns in the first 15 minutes against a Mountaineer defense that allowed 63 points to UNC last week.

Texas A&M winning margin 14+ (-200)

This game shouldn’t be close. Well, at least in a relative manner. Even if A&M wins by 20, some may say that was closer than it should be. However, I expect the Aggies to win by over two touchdowns with ease.

The defense seems to be the strength of this team so far, and I don’t think they’re going to break to a Sun Belt team, no matter how good they are. With the Mountaineer defense being questionable, the Aggies should run up the score and win by a comfortable margin.

Texas A&M -16.5 & Over 53.5 total points (+200)

This one could be a nice little parlay to add to your slip. As stated before, it should be no issue for the Aggies to put points on the board. The defense should be able to get enough stops to put it out of reach, however, I don’t necessarily expect a shutout.

Against a stingy Sam Houston State defense, A&M still put up 31 points. Now that they’re facing an even worse defense, but a good offense, points are going to come in bunches. The over on this one should be an easy hit, however, the spread shouldn’t be too much of an issue either.
