Something has seemed to be missing from this team, and that could be changing with the potential return of Mackenzie Mgbako to the court tonight against Manhattan. The Aggies desperately need someone to help them finish games after blowing two straight 14+ point second half leads in their last two games against UCF and Montana.
Texas A&M basketball looks to get back on track tonight against Manhattan
What will the Aggies need to do to get it done tonight? It's a pretty simple answer, yet it is one that has been an issue all season. Defend the perimeter, rebound, and reduce turnovers. In a high tempo offense, turnovers are inevitable, but they can be costly in closer games. This Aggie team has the size and physicality where they shouldn't be getting outrebounded by higher level competition like they have been.
Manhattan comes into this game having beaten two lower-level Division 1 teams in Utah Tech and Mississippi Valley State, but also have two 30+ point blowout losses to USC (the real one in California) and Hawaii. They have 5 players averaging double figures in scoring led by Devin Dinkins and Jaden Winston both with just over 14 points per game.
This is a golden opportunity for this Aggie team to really get back on track tonight. Check back later tonight for our reaction and analysis for tonight's game.
