Albert Regis has been one of the most key players for Texas A&M's defense over the last three years, and he is now a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars after being selected 81st overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. Regis has been a stalwart on the interior of Texas A&M's defensive line for quite some time now, and he will be bringing an unassailable skillset to Jacksonville with this pick.

Regis came to Texas A&M as an extremely athletic player for his lower three-star rating. A big battle between the Longhorns and Aggies as a tight end/defensive tackle out of La Porte high school, he shocked Longhorn fans and media by committing to the Aggies over the Horns in the 2021 cycle.

He's been a fixture for Texas A&M ever since on the defensive line. He was maybe the most important piece of the Aggies' run defense last season, and will be an absolute plug on the interior for the Jaguars.

Regis doesn't loom large like a Jordan Davis, say, but he is nigh immovable as an interior player. Jaguars fans are about to see their difficulty in running the ball against Jacksonville ratchet up a couple of notches with Big Al in the center of the defense.

Regis ranked sixth on the Aggies last season in tackles, which is pretty notable for an interior defensive lineman. He is active and hard to move for opposing offensive linemen, and a sure tackler whne he gets his hands on you.

Jaguars fans are still reeling from what they consider to be a bad pickup of Boerkircher in the second round, but this is a pair of Aggies that will soon win the hearts of the city. Regis is set to make a lot of noise pretty quickly for this team, and it won't be long until he has a lot of fans among the Jaguars faithful.
