Arkansas ticket price debacle is only increasing Texas A&M's confidence

This is not a great look for the Hogs, but it's helping the Aggies big time.

Texas A&M's game against Arkansas today is a huge one for the Aggies, but a demoralized Razorbacks team and fanbase could be teetering on the edge of complete disengagement.

We saw the Hogs quit after only a half of football when they played Notre Dame a few weeks ago, and following a coaching change, staff turnover, and another loss against Tennessee— not to mention the inclement weather conditions beginning to circle around this game— Texas A&M could be facing an Arkansas team who's fanbase is nearly completely checked out. Even though this is the first time Texas A&M has visited Fayetteville since back in 2013, ticket prices at Razorback Stadium have plunged leading up to kickoff.

That is unbelievably low for an SEC conference game, of course. Though the weather has to play a huge factor in things being this cheap, it's also the case that there's an increasing expectation of a huge Texas A&M victory in this one.

This is obviously a good sign for the Aggies given that the raucous and hostile environment they've been expecting is one that may not end up manifesting when all is said and done. Just look how empty this stadium is:

Texas A&M's struggles with penalties on the road against Notre Dame was a slight concern headed into a loud environment, but now it looks like that the crowd noise may not be as large of a concern in this game. I don't want to get too far out over my skis here, but if there is indeed a weather delay, as seems likely at this point, this could be one of the most sparsely-populated road venues the Aggies have played in since they visited Vanderbilt back in 2015.

This is no doubt a game where the Aggies should take care of business, and these issues with the crowd will only help. However, the Aggies need to stay on their toes and be ready for Bobby Petrino to throw the kitchen sink at them schematically— if they can shut the Hogs down, they'll be in good shape.
