This is not a great sign for Texas A&M fans hoping to catch the game in the scheduled window.

Texas A&M's game vs the Arkansas Razorbacks is scheduled to kick off in Fayetteville tomorrow at 2:30 PM central, but it is increasingly looking like that planned time will have to be adjusted.

Fans have known since late last week that there are heavy storms forecasted to be in the area around the time that the game is scheduled to begin, and with only a day to go, the outlook continues to be pretty stormy. That's bad news for those who have been hoping that this game would start on time, as it is now appearing that a long delay is likely for the beginning of the contest.

The Weather Channel's official website is currently calling for thunderstorms to begin in the Fayetteville area around 11 AM and continue all the way through the 4 o'clock hour, eventually abating around 5 PM local time. At that point, this might as well be a night game for the Hogs.

Inclement weather set to challenge Texas A&M vs Arkansas scheduled kickoff time

The weather will obviously affect the game itself without a doubt, but there's a positive here for Texas A&M. Fayetteville is a quite hostile environment when operating at full capacity, but with this kind of weather in the area, it's very possible that the crowd numbers could be way down as fans decide to leave rather than stick out along rain delay.

That would be a help for the Aggies, obviously, who have struggled with penalties this year. Last game, they played pretty cleanly, but facing a hostile environment could be a challenge to stack another good game on that front.

This would also mean that, if the Aggies strike quickly in this game when it eventually starts, they can more easily demoralize fans, thinning the Hog herd even further. With ticket prices currently pretty low, we could see another Texas A&M takeover just like we did up in South Bend— after all, one fanbase is clearly more motivated for this season than the other is. This prospective weather delay could end up being a blessing in disguise before all is said and done.
