Texas A&M baseball just secured a series win over the no. 2-ranked Texas Longhorns in Jim Schlossnagle's first return to Blue Bell Park since his betrayal of the Aggies two years ago— the first SEC team to get such a victory over the Longhorns yet this season.

That was due in no small part to the play of Caden Sorrell, who put up one heck of a stat line in the first two games. The second was a big one for him, as he went three for five at the plate and knocked a home run out of the park for the Aggies.

In the aftermath of the game, Sorrell was asked about how this game felt, given everything surrounding it, and he wasn't afraid to let his emotions be a little more unguarded than some may have expected.

Texas A&M star Caden Sorrell lets his real feelings be known about Jim Schlossnagle and the Texas Longhorns

Sorrell, who jumped in the portal following Schlossnagle's quick exit before returning to Aggieland, has been a big part of this team since that point. He's an Aggie through and through, as you can tell from this answer:

"As much as I want to say there's not, there definitely is. Lot of history with them. Obviously we've been rivals for a long time. Obviously, with the stuff that happened a couple of years ago it's a little more personal, so it definitely feels good to go out there and get a series win."

Athletes like this tend to be a little less forthcoming about their real feelings in press availability, so the fact that Sorrell is acknowledging this in this way tells you that there's some real animosity that is bubbling up with this series. You could tell from his and the entire team's reactions when they made something happen in game two.

Texas A&M baseball fans are awaiting first pitch amid a weather delay for game three right now, as the Aggies go for the sweep. A Sunday win would be the perfect capper for this amazing weekend on the diamond, and A&M stands a good chance to make it happen.
