The Texas A&M Aggies basketball team is already getting some much needed rest after a hard fought season.
Although the Aggies had multiple chances to say goodnight to the Longhorns, including a late game blunder that Buzz Williams wants back, the Ags ended up falling in a crazy double overtime affair. The Longhorns' fate was decided on selection Sunday, when it was revealed that the Aggie loss gave Texas one final gasp, as the Horns will get a shot against Xavier to figure out an 11 seed.
One of the biggest takeaways from the selection Sunday announcement for the Aggies wasn't necessarily the opponent, but it was CBS Sports' Seth Davis making a shocking claim that had Aggie fans rolling their eyes.
Seth Davis predicts Texas A&M and Michigan to get upset in first round
Texas A&M will play the Yale Bulldogs in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Yale, who won the Ivy League Championship, deserves a lot of credit for what they done this season. Immediately after the announcement, Seth Davis didn't hold back, and predicted that the Aggies would be packing their bags early this season.
"The Tritons (UC San Diego) ... They are going to the Sweet 16."

"I like Yale to pull off another first round upset over Texas A&M," Davis said.
Now, this isn't too shocking considering Yale defeated Auburn in the first round last season, when Yale was also the 13 seed. With John Poulakidas poised to be Yale's cash cow in this game, the Aggies have too much depth and rebounding abilities.
The Aggies will arguably one of the toughest teams to beat in the tournament, and it'll be interesting to see what other non-conference schools can do against them. As former Villanova head coach and college basketball analyst Jay Wright also said, the Yale-Texas A&M game is "going to be a slugfest" while also picking Yale to win.
Clark Kellogg also picked Yale to beat the Ags, which is possible, because after all, it's March. Anything can happen.
