Texas A&M offensive guard Chase Bisontis is headed to Arizona, as the Cardinals have selected him with the 34th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Bisontis is the first Texas A&M Aggie to hear his name called in the draft after a meteoric rise up draft boards following his great NFL Combine.

Bisontis is about to make Cards fans quite happy with his level of play. Protecting whoever the Cardinals have at quarterback is obviously a big key for Arizona, and Bisontis will not only be able to do that, but he will bring an elite level of run blocking as well for Jeremiyah Love.

Bisontis's strength is the piece of his game that stands out the most. He was by far the most intimidating player from a pure strength standpoint on a Texas A&M team that prided itself on physicality and playing tough at the line of scrimmage.

An underrated piece of what Bisontis can do is his versatility. He started out his career playing tackle for the Aggies, who had a need at the position, but he's more natural at guard. Getting those snaps was invaluable, however, and he's now blossomed into a player that can fill multiple needs for an offensive line unit.

At this point in his career, his run blocking is better than his pass blocking— which is not to say the latter is an issue by any stretch, but he's more advanced as a road grader than a stone wall. His mentality is elite for an offensive lineman— he's a guy who goes out and "finds work" in a way that quickly makes the light leave the defense's eyes.

This is a pick that Arizona fans will look back favorably on in years to come. An interior offensive lineman is never the selection that has everyone looking up highlights all offseason, but this was the right guy at the right time for the Cardinals.
