The Myles Garrett situation in Cleveland is turning into a bond that will soon be broken.
After Garrett publicly requested a trade, which is understandable, he's been met with subtle backlash from the Browns organization.
Following Garrett dropping that huge bombshell on the NFL, Browns GM Andrew Berry made a comment that probably had Garrett scratching his head. Berry claimed the organization was planning to keep Garrett, calling him "unmovable." This probably angered Garrett, after he was very clear that he wanted out of Cleveland.
Now, the Browns are in an impossible situation with Garrett, as he's now taking a stand against the Browns and for his own reputation.
Garrett prepared to go on strike against Browns by missing games
Cue another Jimmy Butler saga incoming.
Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is already onboard with Berry about keeping Garrett hostage. All we know now is that this is not going to end well for the Browns, as Garrett has already threatened to miss games if he's still on the Browns roster, making for an absolute mess that we all saw coming.
#Browns star Myles Garrett recently requested a meeting with owner Jimmy Haslam, who declined to speak amidst Garrett’s trade request, per sources.

With the Browns not even willing to discuss a trade, this means a potential missed opportunity for a ton of NFL teams. Or, Haslam could simply be bluffing until he gets a trade worth talking about. With Maxx Crosby getting a three-year, $106.5M contract, this is forcing other teams' hands to get a deal equal to or greater than that same amount. The Cowboys have re-structured Dak Prescott's contract, likely with the reason of trying to extend Micah Parsons.
Garrett has also said that he doesn't care about the money, and that he just wants to play for a contender. Either way, the Browns organization and Garrett are in for a fight that will eventually be a serious broken bond that can never be repaired.
